Meaning ‘gold’ in Arabic, Dahab
can be divided in two main villages: Assalah`s Bedouin village
in South and the Dahab`s administrative center in North. Dahab`
s most developed and visited part is Assalah; most of the
tourists that came here were on her own and stood at hotels. The
atmosphere in Assalah is a bohemian one with shops, restaurants,
palm trees, bars, campgrounds, and of course, hotels. Along the
El-Qura Bay is a relaxed area with diving centers and holiday
villages for the stylish tourists. Once a fishing village, the
today Dahab is famous for the windsurfing possibilities due to
its winds perfect to practice this sport. Close to the hotels
are numerous reefs where you can enjoy snorkeling and scuba

to camp. You can travel to Blue Hole, which is at five miles
away from Dahab and which is an important diving center. You can
also visit the remains of the fort built by the Crusaders and
which is situated on the Island of Coral. This island is towards
