Cairo international airport
is the Egypt's international airport. The airport is
situated at 13, 5 miles (22 kilometers) away of the Cairo's
North East.
There are information desks in the old airport
(terminal 1) and in the new airport (terminal 2), in the
departures and arrivals halls as well as in the transit
hall. Inside the terminals the people can find information
from the tourist police.
There is also a phone number where
you can call 24 hours a day to find more information about
the flights ((0)2 634 8566). Among the airport facilities
are: ATMs and a bank, post offices (open 24 hours a day) and
a 24 hours exchange office situated in the two terminals, in
the departures halls.

In the airport are many restaurants
where you can eat and 24 hour bars situated in the
terminals` departures halls. If you want to make
some shopping in the Egypt international airport are
magazines from where you can buy gifts, clothes,
books and situated in the transit hall and in the
departures halls. In the both terminals` departures
you can find duty free shops, baggage porters and
trolleys, a pharmacy and left-luggage service. The
people with disabilities have access to disabled
toilets and to wheelchairs. |

As regarding the conference facilities there
is a business center situated in the terminal 1 and which is
in connection with the new transit hall and which provides
fax and computer services. VIP lounges, fax and computer
service are available. You can rent a car from one of the
companies present at airport: J Car, Budget, Hertz and
Thrifty and Avis. If you want to park your car, there is a
car parking for 1,000 cars, for short-time and situated
inside of the terminal buildings` walking distance. Don` t
worry about the public transport; you can take a taxi from
the airport (a journey from the airport to the center of
Cairo lasts around 300 minutes).
The taxi can be taken from the outside of the
arrivals hall and to haggle with the driver before you go is
a recommended thing. There are also limousines that can take
you to the Cairo`s center; the black limousines from
Mercedes Benz can be taken from the outside of the arrivals
hall, too. There are also buses to take to go in the Cairo`
s center; the bus 400 has trips at every 30 minutes daily
(and at every hour during the night). The closest hotels to
the Cairo international airport are the Sheraton Hotel
Heliopolis, the Novotel Cairo Airport Hotel (at 3 kilometers
away from the airport), Movenpick Cairo and Le Meridien
