One of the most important
transportation way in Egypt is by bus. There are buses that
make the connection between the Egypt's capital Cairo to
another Egyptian cities such as:
Mersa Alam, Sharm, Hurghada,
Luxor, as well as from Cairo to the oasis of the Western
Desert like Dahkla, Baharia and Kharga. There are also buses
from Hurghada to Luxor, from Sharm to some cities from the
Sinai Peninsula like Nuweiba, Taba and Dahab.
Of course, if
you will take a bus to one of these destinations you will be
able come back with another bus on the same destination that
will take you back. Here is some important information about
some of the most important Egyptian tourist towns` buses. |

If you want to travel with the bus from Cairo to Hurghada,
you can take the bus from the El Gouna bus station. The
first bus lives at 7. 00 in the morning; the other buses are
at 08.30, 12.00, 13.30, 16.30, 21.00, 23.30, 00.45, 01.30
and 02.15. The ticket` s price is about 55 LE, excepting the
23.30 bus ticket which costs 12.00, 13.00, 13.30, 14.30,
16.00, 18.00, 21.00, 23.55, 01.00, 02.00 and 03.00. The
ticket` s price is about 40-55 LE.

From Cairo to Alexandria you can take the bus at
7.15 in the morning or at: 7.30, 7.45, 8.00, 8.30
and 17.00. the ticket` s price costs from 5 to 7$,
varying one bus company to another. The bus is very
helpful for those going to Siwa.
To travel from Cairo to Sharm El-Sheik take the bus
at: 12.15, 13.00, 17.00 or at 23.00. The ticket` s
price is about 12$. And when you get back there are
buses at: 7.30, 10.30, 12.30, 13, 00, 15.00, 16, 00,
17.30, 22.00, 22.00 and 23.30. the ticket` s price
is about 65 LE.
When you want to go from Cairo to Dakhla oasis the
first bus is at 6.00 or 7.00 in the morning, varying
from one company to another. |
The next bus is at 09.00. The bus for Kharga is at 07.00,
then at 08.00 and 09.00, and the ticket` s price varies from
5 to 7$.
If you want to travel from Sharm El-Sheik to Dahab there are
buses at 6.30, 07.30, 09.00, 14.30, 15.00, 17.00, 21.00 and
23.00. From Sharm EL-Skeik to Nuweiba are buses at: 8.00,
09.00, 14.00 and 17.00. To go to Taba are buses at 08.00 and
09.00, and to Saint Catherine at 7.30. The price of the
tickets are from 5 to 8$.
From Hurghada to Luxor are buses at: 10.00, 13.00, 19.30,
22. 30, 01 and 03.00 the ticket` s price is 30 LE for local
people and 40 LE for the tourists.
To get from Luxor to Hurghada there are buses that can be
taken from the Market street near to the Luxor temple at
06.30, 08.30, 10.30, 14.30, 19.00, 20.00 and 21.00. The
ticket` s price is about 7$.
