Egypt in the Africa continent, one of the
world’s most beautiful and visited countries has the
Mediterranean Sea as the north neighbor, the Red Sea and Israel
as an eastern neighbors, Sudan as southern border and Libya as
the western border. The Pharaoh Menes united the Upper Egypt
with the Lower Egypt into the Ancient Empire that lasted from
3200 to 2270 BC, an empire of an amazing old and rich
civilization. The desert represents 90% from the country`s area:
the Arabian Desert is in the east, the Arabian Desert in the
west and the Nubian Desert in the south. The Egypt’s major
attractions are the pyramids: the Sphinx, the Great Pyramid of
Khufu, Pyramids of Giza, the Pyramid of Menkaure, the Pyramid of
Khafre, the Pyramids of Dahshour, Sakkara pyramids, the pyramid
of Meidum. Another important attractions are: the Citadel of
Saladin, the Luxor Temple, the Valley Of The Queens, the Temple
of Madinat Habu, the Egyptian Museums, Valley Of The Kings, the
Unfinished Obelisk, the Memorial Of Diocletian (also called
“Pompey’s Pillar”), the Khan EL Khalili Bazaar, the Alexandria’s
catacombs, the Saint Catherine monastery, the Red Sea coast, the
Saint Paul monastery, and the list may continue since the Egypt
Africa is unlimited in beautiful and ancient places, buildings
and views. Egypt’s climate is hot from May till October and
breezy from October till May. In March and April may appear
sporadically sandstorms. The October-May period is the most
indicated to visit Egypt, although is a crowded period. Egypt’s
national holiday is on July 23, when the Egyptians celebrate the
revolution day. Another important holiday for the Egyptians is
the Ramadan, a religious Muslim’s celebration that take place in
the 9th month of the Islamic calendar. |
